Joseph M. Miranda, DDS
A native of San Antonio, Dr. Joseph Miranda served in the Air Force after high school as a dental corpsman for five years. He graduated cum laude in 1982 from the University of New Hampshire with a BA in Microbiology and in 1986 from the Baylor College of Dentistry, where he taught as a part-time clinical instructor until 1991 and has coached other dental offices as well as lectured nationally since that time.
Dr. Miranda is very active in continuing education, particularly in the field of appearance-related dentistry. He has also completed numerous and extensive postgraduate courses in Esthetic Dentistry at Baylor and more than 1,000 hours of continuing education.
Richard Lepard, DDS
Raised in Brownfield, Texas, Dr. Lepard was the son of a cotton farmer. No, there is not a song by that title! He attended Abilene Christian University on a full football scholarship and earned his bachelor's degree in science. In 1974, Dr. Lepard was accepted to his first choice of dental schools, Baylor College of Dentistry, from which he graduated with his DDS in 1977.
While he and his wife, Marilyn, were raising a family, Dr. Lepard practiced in Sweetwater, Texas for 26 years. Then, in 2005, he joined into partnership with a colleague in Napa, California. Dr. Lepard and his wife and enjoyed a two year “vacation” in the Napa Valley! They met wonderful patients, made friends, toured most of northern California, and learned to enjoy and appreciate wine.
In California, Dr. Lepard brought the concept and implementation of a full-facial makeover to Silverado Dental Care. Along with a cosmetic surgeon, ophthalmologist, physical therapist, personal trainer, and many others, he helped change a woman’s life. The Wine Country Extreme Facial Makeover Reveal Party was held at the Reynold’s Family Winery. A local dentist, Dr. Steve Reynolds, donated his beautiful winery on the Silverado Trail for the reveal party. A life was changed by this project; that is why Dr. Lepard still enjoys practicing dentistry after 30 years. He wouldn’t trade for the experience of living and owning a dental practice in the Napa Valley; however, with a children and grandchildren in Texas, Dr. and Mrs. Lepard made the decision to move back to Texas.
Dr. Lepard and Dr. Joe Miranda met through Dr. Lepard's daughter, Lindsay, a hygienist at Travis Walk Dental Care. The two shared an important practice philosophy, helping patients achieve their optimum dental health, while learning how their dental health relates to and affects their overall health. Dr. Lepard joined Dr. Miranda in September 2007. He plans for Travis Walk to be his last stop in his journey as a dentist.
Dr. Lepard has held membership in the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association for 26 years. He is also a member of the California Dental Association, Doctors for Oral Conscious Sedation (DOCS), and the Crown Council. In addition, he was president of the 17th District Dental Society in 2001.
Away from the office, Dr. Lepard enjoys working out. (He entered and placed in his age division in an all-natural bodybuilding contest in 2003!) Don’t ask him how many contestants entered his division! He also loves to fish, host family activities, and travel with his wife of 36 years.

Lindsay Newhouse, RDH, BS
Following in my dad’s footsteps, my goal is to help others become healthy through dentistry. My very first experience in a dental chair was when my dad pierced my ears! (There were no Claire’s boutiques in small west Texas towns) Interning with my dad’s hygienist, I quickly realized my mission; to teach and enourage others in gaining optimum health through great dental hygiene. I attended Abilene Christian University for 2 years and then was accepted into Baylor College of Dentistry’s Dental Hygiene program where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2004. My husband Scott and I have one son, Austin. When not working, I love to shop, exercise, read, and spend time with my family.
Jessica Pressler, RDH, BS
With a hop in my step, I followed in my grandfathers footsteps and realized that dentistry was my calling! Raised in Greenville, Texas, I attended Texas A & M University transferring to Baylor College of Dentistry graduating in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. . I am married to my fabulous husband Terry and our “child” is our Schnauzer Gracie. I enjoy working at Travis Walk Dental Care with Dr. Miranda and my fellow teammates. I hope that when you visit Travis Walk Dental Care that you will be instantly taken by my charismatic personality! I enjoy my patients and my goal is for each patient to enjoy the care they will receive at Travis Walk Dental Care.
Jenny Davis, RDH, BS
Where shall we start? Well, I was born and raised in Oklahoma, then decided to try my luck in the big city! I miss my wonderful family but I love all that Dallas has to offer! After two years of undergrad school at the University of Oklahoma, (yeah, BOOMER SOONER!), I attended the OU Health Sciences Center where I received my Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degree and graduated with distinction. My mission is to serve each patient as an individual in ways that will increase their quality of life, not only through great oral hygiene, but in all aspects of health. Science and the human body have always fascinated me and I am so lucky to be in a profession that can truly change lives. I am extremely proud to be in an office where the doctors are constantly bringing the newest information to the table and encouraging continuous learning. In my spare time I like to play the guitar, sing, laugh, dance, avoid crazy Texas drivers, exercise, go on road trips, watch movies, and play with my ‘big boned’ cat Benito. My absolute favorite thing to do is to play card games like gin, Texas Hold’em, you name it! (But I’ll win!) I also love meeting new people and I know you will feel comfortable in our office! Hope to see you soon!

We love going to the lake, camping, and playing with our two lovely yorkies! I have been a dental assistant for six years with experience and expanded skills in orthodontic treatment as well as oral surgery. I have worked diligently as Dr. Lepard’s chair side assistant for two years. Taking care of patients and making people feel comfortable while in the dental chair is one of my specialties! Andrea Matson, RDA
I have over 10 years experience as a dental assistant. I have completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology in December 2007 from New Mexico State University. I moved to Dallas in February 2008 and have loved every minute of my time here. I was born and raised in Minnesota and some say they can tell by my "accent"...ever watched the movie "Fargo"? In my free time I enjoy NOT doing homework (for the time being- I enjoy school!), shopping with my sister, and finding my way around Dallas.
Tanya Julian, RDA, BS
Financial/Business Coordinator
Often referred to as the "dental diva". My friendly smile and cheerful greeting is the first thing you will experience when you walk in our door! I started my voyage into dentistry in 1996 in Washington as a clinical assistant and hygiene coordinator. I moved back to Texas in 2005 after spending 15 years in the Northwest, but I have to say, I miss the snow. My goal is to make every phone call and visit to the dental office an enjoyable one for our patients. I graduated in 2007 from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. I have two great children and enjoy spending time with them and my boyfriend Chris. In my spare time I also love to read, run, and travel.
Susie Daugherty, Business Coordinator
I am an Army brat born in Columbus, Georgia. I settled in Texas in 1972 and raised three children, now grown: Amy, Lindsay and Philip. My husband's job (no, not the Army again!) required me to be on the move again - this time to Little Rock, Chattanooga and Memphis. Now I am HOME and so happy to call myself a Texan again. I plan to "grow old" in Dallas. Dentistry has been my calling for over 20 years beginning as a dental assistant in high school. I am a people person and never meet a stranger. My warm, welcoming voice is likely the one you hear when you call our office! My mission is to make patients feel at home here at Travis Walk Dental Care and to help them reach their goals for their dental health. In my leisure time I spend time with my family and little Yorkie, Abbe, travel, and scout out flea markets and antique stops.
